Dr. Suen is Medical Director and CEO of Sleep Disorders Center Florida with sites in both Vero Beach and Port St Lucie, Florida. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Suen has special expertise in Sleep Medicine, Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He has earned board-certification in all five of these areas from ABIM or ABPM. Since 1992, Dr. Suen has been in private practice in Vero Beach, Florida. Since 2004, he has also practiced Sleep Medicine in Port St Lucie, Florida.

Dr. Suen earned the M.D. degree from the University of Toronto . He completed postgraduate medical training in Toronto and a postgraduate fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Suen was awarded a masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.

Dr. Suen has served as Principal Investigator on many Phase 3 Clinical Drug Studies. He has published multiple research papers including this frequently cited article on sleep apnea in children.

Dr. Suen has performed volunteer medical work as team physician for USA Karate at national and international competitions. He is also certified as a national coach by USA Karate.
